*** WE UNDERSTAND
THE WORD GUILD IS MORE ASSOCIATED WITH WICCAN
THAN NATIVE AMERICAN. DANCE CHOSE THIS WORD, ALONG WITH THE
WORDS HEALING HOOP TO LET OTHERS UNDERSTAND NO MATTER
WHAT WE WERE ALL PUT HERE TO TAKE CARE OF THE EARTH AND EACH OTHER
LIKE THE FIRST HUMANS CREATED.
Remember words are
just letters that never mean the same as originated, wasn't
the word GAY supposed to mean joyous and happy???
November Newsletter

Medicine Lodge and the Healing
Hoop.
On the weekend of Oct.6, 7, and 8, I attended my Western Pa.
Native American Assoc annual
Gathering in Rostraver, Pa. I had a wonderful and
beautiful time. I was blessed by a Roman
Catholic nun for my vision of what the
Medicine Lodge and our Healing Hoop is trying to
achieve. I then honored her
with a native name of “She Who Honors the Earth”, because she
cares for 15
special ladies and loves all that the creator has made to teach us.
When she left an Elder came and also honored me with a hand
carved rattlesnake ceremonial
rattle, I in turned thank him with a gift of a
Blue Heron rain stick. I was also granted
sole-counsel with the Sacred Fire on
the night of the full moon.
I finally received the answers I have been seeking many months
We are happy to hear that Songs (Chrissy) mom is doing well after
her surgery for an infection
in her spine. Our smoke prayers go out to her and
family.
November meeting will be a small covered dish and we’ll discuss a Dec. meeting/party.
New members welcome. If you wish to make a difference in life for
yourself or
others, come see what the Healing Hoop is all about!
Nov. - Dec. 2006
Our round
table discussion was scrutiny (mouse). We agreed
that it’s good to be organized, trying to plan your day or
week. Keeping a budget, kids activities, etc. But you
must be careful not to be so organized that you forget
to see the big picture. You have to be able to roll with the
punches that life deals you. You know, that flat tire on the
way to a big game, or a broken arm that keeps you from work,
even that phone call that always seems to mess up your day.
We get angry, flustered and depressed. Well there’s demon
food right there. Hey were human, we get life insurance for
when we die, but what now? Remember everything happens
for a reason, no matter how untimely. You must hold on to
you faith and trust. The demons fight harder on those who
travel the Red Road. Just consider these little set backs as
life’s pop quiz. Are you ready to pass it?
The only
thing you can depend on in life is,
that life is undependable.
Last meeting of year- Dec. 17, 2pm
We will be collecting Help Secret Santa
ticket money,
to purchase Wal-Mart gift cards for the needy children
in the area. Go to web pages for details.
Thank-you
Bluejay for the great work on the web and
our ads. We love the music and the updates.
